Taxed 2 Debt, A Review:

Taxed 2 Debt is still in the infant stages, and those who have newly joined us we wanted to do a quick recap of all that we’ve covered so far.

We want the review to be a highlight reel for the blog.  Feel free to listen to this in another tab while you read on, just for over the top dramatic impact.

This blog was born from an idea several years ago.  The idea centered on middle America and small businesses being taxed to debt.  This blog and future book is designed to call out the problem and hopefully do it in an entertaining way.

Here are some highlights so far:

What’s In A Name is a post that describes why we’re here–what we’re about.

A History of Income Tax Starring Donald Duck, gives some history into why there are so many lines on your paycheck.

We learned what David Crockett had to say about taxation.

And we studied a case study in which a small church was literally taxed to debt.

We’ll have more posts up soon.  One of the strangest taxes on the horizon is the forced health care mandate tax.  The idea of having everyone insured is a great one, and we believe that there are better ways of going about this.  But the idea that people will be imprisoned because they have not paid for health insurance is one of the scarier aspects of any legislation we’ve read in a while.

Some people have emergency medical coverage, and then pay cash for their regular doctor’s visits.  What about these people?   It’s a big hit out of their paycheck to start up on these plans that cover everything, and when you’re directly or indirectly taking money for someone, that’s a tax.
