Internet Sales Tax
The best news I have had in a while….
How sad is it that the best news that my wife and I could celebrate the last few weeks is news from my CPA that I overpaid my tax bill by $3500. I sold my house to pay my last years taxes, in case you didn’t remember. How sad is it that I am so thrilled that I have a “credit” with the US Government. I dont owe them at this moment in my life….THEY OWE ME! Does this mean they will be paying me penalties and interest on the amount of money I overpaid? I doubt it.
Well, I am off to celebrate my overpayment of tax day!!! Maybe I will buy something (and pay sales tax) or drive somewhere (and pay gas tax). Maybe if I buy something over the internet, that would minimize my tax obligation!! Hmmm…How long will it be before we are taxed on internet sales?? I venture to guess sooner than later.
